Enjoy stunning views and untouched nature along with a historic pilgrimage tour that will take you from stone crosses to ancient Perunian churches. Located just a few kilometers from Split with its gentle slopes and rich history, we are able to combine old legends and stunning views while walking from one point of view to another. Named after the Slavic god Perun, who is the natural patron of the Podstrana municipality. This trip gives us the opportunity to enjoy hiking and climbing as we dive into a history overlooking the islands, the Mosor Mountain and the Zrnovnica River.

 

On our excursion we walk to the highest peak of the Cross (533 m) and continue towards the church of Sv. Jura where we will leave after a short break on a well preserved forest road for our walk to the old village of Podstrana.

Meeting place: in front of the church of St. Francis (Sveti Frane), west part of Riva in Split.
