Tour description:

The Sutina canyon, with its unusual flora and fauna, is a school example of inversion in nature.
A variety of shrubs, karst pits and rocks allow different species of birds to nest in this region.
Dense and beautiful forests of Sutina, karst, scrub and grassland provide food for many animal species. The canyon consists of limestone and dolomite, and due to erosion, visitors can see numerous fossils that become visible through its action.
The Sutina stream actually has quite a bit of water during most of the year.
We start the tour from Sinj, and from there we will drive briefly to a small village not far from Sinj where we will start hiking. The first part of the tour takes us through an old pine forest and nearby old vineyards to the first lookout point. Although the lookout is not too high, it still allows us to experience the magnificent landscape of the Cetina region (including some of the largest Croatian mountains: Kamešnica, Dinara, Svilaja, Biokovo, Mosor).
An easy descent follows, which passes through a beech forest into the Sutina canyon.
Observing the beautiful environment in the canyon, we will also reach the final point of this walking tour.
