Description:

Kamesnica is a mountain located on the border of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Dalmatian hinterland above the town of Sinj.
The highest peak on the Croatian side is Glavas (1308 meters above sea level), which is the ultimate goal of our ascent.
The ascent to Glavas takes about 2 hours of easy hiking. The hiking trail leads uphill through clear nature along drinking water springs. These two springs are located halfway to the top of Glavas, they are close to each other and never run out of water. This part of the climb is very pleasant for walking, as it mostly takes us through the shade provided by the tall maquis, which is a great relief on hot days.

In the continuation of the ascent, the hiking trail leads us over a ridge with a beautiful view and in less than an hour we will reach the top of Glavas.
From the top of Glavas there is a view of the mountain Svilaja, the lake Peruca, the town of Sinj, the whole valley of Sinjsko polje, the mountain Mosor, the mountain Biokovo and the peaks of Kamesnica on the other side.
The top is marked with a large wooden cross and the inscription of the name and elevation of the top on a larger stone.
